There is probably no country in the world that does not have some type of celebration. Whether it is for a historical or religious event, there is always some type of festivity to be enjoyed throughout the world. In many parts of the world, Christmas is celebrated in many different ways. Each country will take the concept of Christmas for example and their build their own traditions and celebrations fitting to their culture.

Argentina celebrates Christmas in many of the traditional ways that it is done so throughout the world. To begin with, the Nativity scene plays a very large part in the decor of Christmas. Then there are the Christmas trees that become all decked out with the lights and decorations. Should you have the wonderful opportunity to witness one of the Christmas trees here, you will be surprised. The tree is not restricted to being just a pine tree. It can be a tree of any variety. Children in Argentina eagerly await their gifts like children all over the world. The adults partake in joyous parties and socializing with friends and families.

Those traveling from the US or Canada to spend Christmas in Argentina will find one major difference, and that is the weather. For those who must have a white Christmas then do not expect one in Argentina. This one aspect though should not prevent you from celebrating Christmas in this country. It may take a bit of getting used to the warm weather on Christmas day but it sure beats the cold snowy blizzards we endure.

The religious aspect of Christmas is very important to the Hispanic families. They make the birth of Christ the priority and much of Christmas day is spent in their various churches paying homage to the birth of Christ. Christmas Eve is spent with friends and families enjoying wonderful meals together.

New Years Eve in Argentina is full of festivities and fun. There are firework displays, plenty of parties and many discos waiting to help you bring in the New Year. For those visitors from out of Country you will certainly not be disappointed at spending your Christmas in this very lively and vibrant country. The people of Argentina certainly know how to enjoy themselves and invite the guests to their country to do the same. Have a Merry Christmas in Argentina, it won’t be one you regret.
