The Ezeiza international airport is the easiest way to get to the city. From the airport, catching a bus is the cheapest means of transportation to get to the downtown district. The bus number is 86 and it charges only 2 pesos. The bus would make stoppages at Mayo Avenue and Rivadavia Avenue. If you wish to visit Manuel Tienda Leon, you may take a coach at the cost of 40 pesos. Prepaid taxies can also be hired from the international airport and a trip to downtown would cost you around 75 pesos. In case you know Spanish, you may hire a taxi just outside the airport and save 20 to 25 pesos for a visit to Downtown Avenue.

You have a lot of options while visiting Buenos Aires and the railways is one amongst them. Although trains are not uncommon, it is preferable to take a bus while visiting Buenos Aires as it is considered far more comfortable and convenient. You can also take a car from Buenos Aires and travel to Uruguay or other parts of southern Brazil. By bus, the travel time for Mendoza is 13 to 17 hours, to Cordoba is 9 hours, to Bariloche is 22 hours and Rosario is approximately four hours away. You may also use boats for travel and two major services which provide tours are Buquebus and Ferrytour. Buenos Aires is known for its maritime cruisers and is therefore a haven for water travel. Likewise, the bus transportation is good but crowded during peak hours. A suitable alternative is the metro which reaches all major tourist destinations.

Buenos Aires is a beautiful city. You may like to walk down the lanes and enjoy a first hand view of Promenade in Palermo, which a scenic area located in the eastern edge of the city. There are lots of open spaces and a large lake. Here, you have an option of renting small paddle boats and enjoy the scenery and beautiful gardens. You may also to like to take a glimpse of the National Immigration Museum. The La Boca Street is laden with handicrafts and is therefore considered a haven for shoppers. You also get to see street dancers over the cobbled streets. Likewise, you have a chance to take a glimpse of the city by opting for a river cruise.

La Boca is an expensive city and the prices are two to three times more than normal. The Cementerio de la Recoleta is where the rich families of Buenos Aires have their graves set.
